Pole Bean Plants available at Belle Vie Gardens

  • Filet Bean "Fortex", 70 days. The stringless pods grow to 10" long on vigorous 6' tall plants. Rich, sweet scrumptious flavor. Dark brown seeds.

  • Blue Lake, 60 days. A classic. Pods are stringless and fiberless at all stages. White seeded.

  • Kentucky Blue, 58 days. A succulent cross of Kentucky Wonder & Blue Lake. High yields of 6-8" long pods.

  • Kentucky Wonder Heirloom, 66 days. One of the tastiest of the green beans picked young. Pods can grow to 9". Harvest from mid-summer to first frost. Eat fresh, or as a shell bean.

  • "Goldmarie Vining" Rare, 55-65 days. Bright, golden yellow 6-7" flattened pods with excellent flavor, remain succulent even when large. Vigorous vines produce abundantly.

  • "Rattlesnake" Unusual, 65 days. Long beans that are green with purple stripes. The pods twist & “snake” around the vines & poles. A western favorite.

  • Flat Podded "Kwintus", 43 days. Italian flavor is great on these flattened, stringless 8-10" pods. Great raw or steamed & freezes well.

  • Romano Heirloom, 70 days. A favorite for generations. The 6 ft. vines produce wide-podded beans with a distinct flavor. Pick often for continuous harvest.

  • "Purple Trionfo Violetto" Unusual, 65 days. A superior purple bean from Italy. A nutty, flavorful bean that turns green when cooked. Very attractive violet blossoms.

  • Asparagus/Yard Long Bean "Liana" Unusual, 80 days. Tender, succulent pods that are slender & up to 3 ft long, but best at 1 ft. Vines can grow to 10 ft., so needs trellising.

  • "Scarlet Runner" Heirloom, 70-100 days. Hummingbirds love the bright scarlet, showy flowers. Rambling vines are very productive. Delicious young & wonderful as mature shell beans.

  • "Apricot Runner", 70-100 days. Bright apricot flowers on rambling vines loaded with slender 8" long pods. Very attractive to Hummingbirds.

  • "Sunset Runner", 60 days. Unique salmon pink blossoms. A very early variety that produces a crop of short pods that are good for freezing, canning and fresh.

  • Runner "Painted Lady" Heirloom, 70-100 days. Grown in gardens since the 1800s, this runner bean is a showstopper. Develops flowers with red standards, white wings & keel. The pods are sweet, rough & flat.
